Sekinchan: The Bukit Aman Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants Division successfully arrested 105 foreigners in a series of three operations conducted this morning with assistance from various related agencies around Sekinchan and Sabak Bernam.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar reported that the first operation took place at 2.40 am at a residence in Sekinchan. Authorities apprehended three men aged between 26 and 32, and a woman aged 24, all suspected caretakers. Additionally, 14 foreign men aged 21 to 49 and 22 foreign women aged 24 to 56 were arrested. The police also confiscated six mobile phones during the raid.

In the second operation, conducted at 2.15 am near the Sekinchan jetty, a van inspection led to the arrest of a 19-year-old foreign man, who was identified as the driver, along with five other foreigners aged 19 to 41 lacking valid travel documents. Authorities seized four mobile phones and RM157 in cash during this operation.

The third operation occurred at 2.15 am around the waters of Sabak Bernam, where a joint task force patrol intercepted an unregistered boat. A 43-year-old foreign man, the boat's helmsman, and two other foreign men aged 35 to 46, suspected crew members, were arrested. Furthermore, 48 foreign men aged 16 to 56 and eight foreign women aged 21 to 50, all without valid travel documents, were taken into custody. Three mobile phones were seized in this operation.

The case is being investigated under Section 26a of the ATIPSOM Act 2007 and Section 6(1)(C) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.
