Kuala lumpur: The police (PDRM) is undertaking a comprehensive review of all aspects concerning allegations of a plot to overthrow the government and destabilize national security. Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail emphasized that the investigation requires adequate time to ensure fairness and transparency in the legal process.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Inspector-General Mohd Khalid stated that actions would be taken only after all details have been meticulously and professionally assessed. He urged all parties to remain patient as the investigation is ongoing and assured that it is being conducted based on facts and evidence collected.

Mohd Khalid mentioned that police received a report on Thursday about a plot allegedly involving a well-known local figure and an international media agency. The Classified Criminal Investigation Unit under the Prosecution/Legal Division (D5) of the Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department is conducting the investigation under Section 124B of the Penal Code.

He further assured that any developments in the case would be communicated to the public.
