Police Reminds ‘Malaysia Bangkit Untuk Gaza’ Rally Participants To Obey The Law

Kuala lumpur: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has issued a reminder to organisers and participants of the upcoming Malaysia Bangkit Untuk Gaza rally to adhere strictly to legal regulations during the event.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dang Wangi police chief ACP Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman emphasized that while peaceful assembly is a constitutional right, it must be executed responsibly, avoiding any prohibited activities. The list of banned items includes sharp objects such as metal rods and wooden sticks, weapons like knives and machetes, and pyrotechnics such as firecrackers, fireworks, smoke bombs, or flares.

Participants are also prohibited from displaying banners containing racial, religious, or royal elements, making defamatory statements, and bringing children to the rally. ACP Sulizmie further cautioned against acts of rioting, defying instructions from authorities, or flying drones during the event.

'Firm action will be taken against anyone causing disturbances or extreme provocations. PDRM is committed to ensuring safety in Kuala Lumpur without disrupting daily life or the economy,' he stated. Despite anticipated traffic congestion near the city centre, measures will be implemented to facilitate smoother movement.

The rally, organized by the Humanity 4 Gaza (H4G) Secretariat in collaboration with the Malaysian Ulama Association, is expected to attract around 5,000 participants, including non-governmental organizations, students, and members of the public.
