PPZ-MAIWP Launches Year End Zakat 2025 Campaign

Kuala lumpur: The Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council Zakat Collection Centre (PPZ-MAIWP) has launched the Year End Zakat (YEZ) 2025 Campaign to encourage Muslims in the Federal Territories to fulfil their zakat obligations by Dec 31. PPZ-MAIWP chief executive officer Datuk Abdul Hakim Amir Osman highlighted that this year's campaign, themed 'Akhirnya Sempurna', emphasizes zakat as an act of worship that completes a Muslim's responsibilities to Allah SWT and fellow human beings.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, various initiatives and rewards have been introduced to encourage greater public participation and to strengthen the relationship between PPZ-MAIWP and zakat payers. These announcements were made by Abdul Hakim during the campaign launch. The campaign was officiated by MAIWP chairman Datuk Syed Kamarulzaman Syed Kabeer in conjunction with the closing of the Al-Falah MADANIMAIWP Entrepreneur Carnival 2025 at AEON Mall AU2.

In conjunction with YEZ 2025, PPZ-MAIWP plans to open its counters daily throughout December for the convenience of payers. It will also hold 'Hari Bersama Pembayar' (A Day with Payers) every Friday and during the last 10 days of the month. Abdul Hakim announced a Year End Zakat Tour at several high-traffic locations, along with live and podcast programmes, 'Santai KeluargaKaunter' during the final 10 days of the year, and YEZ Corporate Talk sessions with employers and companies.

He added that more than 1,300 special prizes, including umrah packages and holiday vouchers, will be available for those making payments during the campaign period. To ensure faster, easier and more secure zakat payments, PPZ-MAIWP is offering multiple payment channels, including physical counters, the online zakat portal, the MyZakat application, and the 'Amil to You' mobile counter service.

Abdul Hakim encouraged Muslims to pay early to avoid congestion at counters, noting that details on the campaign, counter locations and payment channels are available at www.zakat.com.my or via the hotline 1-300-88-5757. PPZ-MAIWP also expressed gratitude to the campaign's main sponsor, Klinik Anda 24 Jam, co-sponsors Top Global Food and Beverages Sdn Bhd and Ikhlas Com Travel and Umrah Sdn Bhd, as well as strategic partners Deep Faith.Co and Chef Kecik.
