Preachers Encouraged To Address Modern Challenges And Preserve Muslim Identity, Says Kelantan MB

Kelantan: Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud has urged preachers in the state to better understand the realities of modern society, to effectively address current issues, and combat negative influences which threaten the faith and identity of Muslims. He emphasized the increasing urgency of this need, given the rapid technological advancements and widespread access to information across all segments of society.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohd Nassuruddin highlighted that information today spreads at lightning speed, with new issues emerging daily. He stressed the importance for preachers to thoroughly understand these issues, particularly those involving misleading ideologies aimed at eroding the identity and faith of Muslims. His remarks were made during his speech at the presentation ceremony of the Third Series of the Tafaqquh Fiddin Certificate.

Furthermore, Mohd Nassuruddin expressed his hope for the Dakwah Halaqat Division in the state to be organized in a more structured and systematic manner. This would help effectively guide and protect the ummah, ensuring that preachers are well-equipped to meet contemporary challenges. He noted that the learning syllabus for the tafaqquh class was thoughtfully designed to address current societal needs. It not only covers foundational subjects like the Quran, hadith, aqidah (creed), fiqh, and ethics but also incorporates contemporary knowledge and effective teaching methods.

Earlier, it was reported that a total of 68 participants, including halaqat officers and assistants, successfully completed the Third Series of the Tafaqquh Fiddin class. The program was conducted from July 2024 to March 2025, reflecting the state's commitment to enhancing religious education amidst evolving societal demands.
