Kuala Lumpur:A country must be guided by knowledge rather than driven by anger to ensure its strength and stability, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stated.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar emphasized that the foundation of any struggle should not rely solely on spirit and emotion. Instead, it should be supported by the strength of knowledge, which can raise public awareness and instill responsibility.

Speaking at the 3 Generations Appreciation Dinner: Continuing the Legacy of the Struggle, Anwar highlighted the importance of knowledge in discussions about building a MADANI nation. He stressed that such a nation should not be based on supremacy, racism, or incitement but rather on conviction, idealism, and noble aspirations to elevate dignity.

The event, attended by over 2,000 members of various Malaysian Islamic organizations, saw Anwar also discussing the need for a strong understanding of religion and faith. He noted that being born a Muslim does not guarantee an understanding of Islam, and that Islamic movements must go beyond mere enthusiasm.

Anwar shared that his experience in the Islamic movement taught him that struggles should be built on conviction and actions rather than social media support. The ultimate goal, he said, is to seek the blessings of Allah SWT and to strengthen the Muslim ummah.

He underscored the importance of the tradition of knowledge, usrah, and new ideas in shaping public understanding. In a diverse country, these efforts must be complemented by education and mastery of new knowledge, including artificial intelligence, without neglecting fundamental values like faith and morality.
