Johor bahru: A mother's love and prayers know no bounds, a sentiment deeply felt as Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, visited the grave of her beloved son, Tunku Laksamana of Johor, Tunku Abdul Jalil Sultan Ibrahim, at the Mahmoodiah Royal Mausoleum, here, today. The visit was in conjunction with the birthday of the late Tunku Abdul Jalil, which falls tomorrow.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, in a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar's official Facebook page, it was shared that Her Majesty arrived at the royal mausoleum here at 3 pm. Through several photos shared in the post, Her Majesty was also seen solemnly pouring scented water, filled with rose petals, on the grave. There was also a recitation of Surah Yasin and tahlil held during the visit.
Born on July 5, 1990, Tunku Abdul Jalil was the fourth child of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah. He passed away on Dec 5, 2015, at the age of 25, due to cancer. Fondly remembered by many, he is cherished for his kindness, humility, and tireless dedication to volunteerism and charitable causes.
