Johor bahru: Exclusive paintings by Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, depicting memories of village homes from Her Majesty's childhood have been featured on the 'Beg Rumah Kampung' (Village House Bag) from the Royal Johor Art By RZS Collection. Her Majesty launched the bag in conjunction with Johor Family Day 2026, held at Dataran Bandaraya Johor Bahru here today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the artwork, themed 'Balik Kampung', highlights one of the main aspects of Aidilfitri and all celebrations in Malaysia, while reminding the public to take pride in their heritage and culture. Produced in limited quantities, part of the proceeds from its sales will be channelled to support various programmes of the Raja Zarith Sofiah of Johor Foundation (YRZSNJ), covering education, healthcare, and social welfare for the benefit of those in need.

YRZSNJ chief executive officer Hishamuddin Abdul Rahim said the uniqueness of the Beg Rumah Kampung lies in the exclusive artwork created by Her Majesty herself, giving the public an opportunity to own the special work. 'More importantly, the bags not only carry artistic and heritage value, but also serve as a means of channelling contributions and reaching out to those in need,' she said.

Meanwhile, The Johor Collection chairman Datin Siti Azizah Omar said the exclusive artworks and limited production made the Beg Rumah Kampung a distinctive collection. 'Beg Rumah Kampung is not just a bag, but a collection that carries our country's artworks, stories and cultural heritage. We are honoured to work together with YRZSNJ to bring these special works closer to the community,' she said.

Priced at RM399 each, the Beg Rumah Kampung can be purchased online through YRZSNJ's official social media channels. The bags are also available at The Johor Collection Souvenir Centre, Kompleks Warisan Sultan Abu Bakar and Vamos Cafe here, subject to limited stock.
