Kedah: Several areas in Kedah, including Kota Setar, Kubang Pasu, and Kuala Muda, received rain today after months of hot and dry weather.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kedah Meteorological Office director Muhammad Khalil Abdul Aziz mentioned that almost all districts in the state, except Langkawi and Bandar Baharu, were expected to experience rain or thunderstorms this evening. This weather pattern aligns with the inter-monsoon phase, which typically brings rain or thunderstorms in the evening.
Muhammad Khalil noted that several areas and districts saw rain today as forecasted by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia). He advised the public to remain alert to weather changes and refer to MetMalaysia's website or social media platforms for the latest weather updates. Meanwhile, a resident in Titi Gajah expressed his relief when it rained in his neighborhood, sharing that although the rain only lasted a few minutes, it felt refreshing and helped reduce the heat.
