Arau: The Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, granted an audience to Auditor-General Datuk Seri Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi at the Balai Menghadap Biru, Istana Arau, here yesterday. Istana Arau, in a statement today, said the audience reflected the close relationship between the Perlis Royal institution and the National Audit Department in supporting efforts to strengthen governance, integrity, and accountability in public administration.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the meeting also served as a platform to demonstrate a shared commitment to enhancing the public service delivery system based on the principles of transparency, efficiency, and prudent financial management. In addition, the meeting reflected the continued commitment of all parties to ensuring that efficient, transparent, and integrity-driven financial and administrative management practices remain an important foundation for the progress of the state of Perlis.
Istana Arau stated that the approach was in line with the aspiration to strengthen public confidence in government institutions and improve the effectiveness of service delivery to the community. It mentioned that continued efforts to empower good governance were expected not only to strengthen public confidence in government institutions but also to serve as a catalyst for sustainable, inclusive, and competitive development in Perlis.
The statement further emphasized that synergy between the royal institution and government agencies will continue to play an important role in ensuring that the state progresses based on the principles of integrity, accountability, and the well-being of the people.
