Kuala Lipis:Rantau Panjang MP Datuk Siti Zailah Mohd Yusoff suffered chest and abdomen injuries in a road accident at Kilometre 7 of the Central Spine Road (LTU) in Kechau Tui, Kuala Lipis.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the accident occurred around 6 pm while Siti Zailah and her 26-year-old daughter were traveling in a sports utility vehicle (SUV) from Gua Musang, Kelantan, to Kuala Lumpur on a work-related trip.

Lipis police chief Supt Ismail Man stated that the driver, Siti Zailah's daughter, is believed to have lost control of the vehicle, leading it to spin and crash into the road barrier on the right. Siti Zailah was taken to Kuala Lipis Hospital for treatment, while her daughter, who was driving the vehicle, was unharmed.

Ismail has requested that anyone who witnessed the incident come forward to aid the investigation.
