Rapid KL Extends Free LRT3 Shah Alam Line Service To August 14

Kuala lumpur: The free service period for the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) Shah Alam Line has been extended until August 14. Rapid KL, through a statement on its Facebook page, announced the extended period, among other things, to give more users the opportunity to get used to the new public transport system that connects Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, and Klang. According to BERNAMA News Agency, during the extended period, the public can enjoy free travel on the Shah Alam Line LRT3 service, including the shuttle buses and Park N' Ride facilities at the stations involved. This initiative aims to encourage the use of public transport as the main choice for daily travel. Rapid KL hopes that the extension of the free service will benefit more users and reduce the cost of daily travel, while increasing public confidence in the efficiency and comfort of the country's public transport system. The public is advised to take advantage of this opportunity by planning their journeys in advance and complying with all regulat ions and guidelines set to ensure a safe and smooth journey. On June 28, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, while speaking at the Shah Alam Line LRT3 Launching Ceremony at the Johan Setia LRT Depot in Klang, announced free fares for the line service to all passengers from June 29 to July 31.
