RCI Findings on Tabung Haji To Be Tabled for Justice and Institutional Integrity

Bukit Baru:The tabling of the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) findings regarding Tabung Haji in Parliament aims to clear the institution of any wrongdoing and to uphold the dignity of Muslims in the country, according to Pakatan Harapan (PH) Election Director Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Amirudin, who is also the Selangor Menteri Besar, emphasized that revealing the alleged misappropriation is not intended to shame the institution responsible for managing pilgrims' affairs but is necessary to maintain depositors' trust.

He stated the importance of having the findings presented and debated in Parliament, ensuring those responsible are held accountable. This was conveyed during his speech at the 'Tabung Haji Scandal: Who Betrayed the Malay-Muslim Community?' event held at the PH Main Operations Room in Bukit Baru.

Amirudin, who is also a vice-president of the People's Justice Party (PKR), urged the public to support leaders who value transparency and refrain from exploiting racial issues for political gain. He noted that the public is increasingly rejecting shallow politics and desires clean governance and integrity.

He highlighted the emergence of new political coalitions as evidence of a societal shift towards rejecting racial politics. The aim is to uplift the Malay community and the nation with dignity while turning away from irresponsible leadership. He asserted that the politics of fear is becoming ineffective and that those who rely on such tactics are unfit to lead the country now or in the future.
