Remand Extended for Suspect in Student’s Death Investigation

Kuala Pilah:The remand for a suspect detained in the investigation of a Form Two student's death in Kuala Pilah has been extended by seven days, from tomorrow until October 8.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad confirmed that the Kuala Pilah Magistrate's Court approved the extension this morning. The suspect, a 16-year-old male, is being held under Section 302 of the Penal Code. Another student, a Form Four student, is also in custody until Saturday.

Alzafny stated that 69 statements have been recorded in connection with the case, and five students have reported being bullied by one of the detained students. The investigation follows an incident where a Form Two student sustained injuries at a local school and was later pronounced dead at Tuanku Ampuan Najihah Hospital.
