Kuala Lumpur: The retail prices of RON97 and RON95 petrol across the country will continue to be sold at RM3.43 and RM2.05 per litre, respectively, for the period from February 27 to March 5. The Finance Ministry confirmed this in a statement issued today, maintaining the status quo for consumers.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the retail price for diesel in the Peninsula will also remain constant at RM3.18 per litre. Meanwhile, in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan, diesel prices will stay unchanged at RM2.15 per litre during the same timeframe.
The Finance Ministry stated that these prices are determined based on the weekly retail pricing of petroleum products, which utilizes the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula. The Ministry emphasized its commitment to monitoring global crude oil price trends closely and assured that it would undertake necessary measures to safeguard the welfare and well-being of the populace.
