Kuala lumpur: The Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) will implement two improvement measures next year to strengthen the Bureaucratic Red Tape Reform (RKB), namely enhancing public and industry feedback mechanisms and prioritising problem-driven solutions. MPC director-general Datuk Zahid Ismail said feedback from the public and businesses would serve as the main reference in formulating more effective solutions, in line with efforts to move beyond a purely technology-driven model.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Zahid emphasized that the new approach will be more focused, involving close collaboration with industry associations. This includes engagements with specific sectors such as retail at both the state and federal levels to identify the actual 'pain points' they face. Proof-of-concept initiatives will also be carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of technology solutions before a wider rollout, ensuring issues are resolved more systematically.
Zahid spoke on these initiatives after participating as a panellist at the Bureaucratic Red Tape Forum: Performance Analysis and Continuous Improvement, part of the National Public Service Reform Convention 2025 under the Rancakkan MADANI programme. He noted that the RKB had recorded exponential growth over the past two years, with more than 1,000 projects implemented to date. Despite these achievements, he stressed the importance of continuous improvement, aligning with the principle of islah.
The three-day Rancakkan MADANI programme, which began yesterday, offers over 300 touchpoint services, a career fair, interactive exhibitions, family entertainment, and various special promotions. Organised by the Prime Minister's Office through the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit (PACU), the national-level programme is expected to attract around 300,000 visitors. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to officiate the closing ceremony at 11 am tomorrow. Rancakkan MADANI continues the tradition of the One Year with the MADANI Government and Two Years of MADANI Government programmes, serving as an annual platform for the government to report its achievements directly to the people.
