RM25.8 Million ADTEC Labuan Staff Quarters Project Completed Successfully

Labuan: The RM25.8 million staff quarters project at the Industrial Training Institute (ILP), also known as ADTEC Labuan Campus, has been completed on schedule and in accordance with the required quality standards. The completed project was officially handed over by Labuan Public Works Department (JKR) director Mohd Faizul Mohd Ali Hanapiah to ADTEC Labuan director Imalistyahusnanjaya Mat Hussin at the newly completed project site here today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the handover was witnessed by Human Resources Ministry (KESUMA) secretary-general Datuk Azman Mohd Yusof. Mohd Faizul stated that the project was completed according to schedule despite the logistical challenges associated with carrying out construction work on an island. 'The project was strictly monitored by the JKR teams throughout the construction period to ensure that all works complied with the stipulated specifications, safety requirements and quality standards. JKR remains committed to delivering quality government development projects that serve the interests and needs of the community,' he told Bernama after the project handover ceremony today.

The project involved the construction of two four-storey staff quarters blocks comprising 32 residential units, together with supporting facilities, including a field and playground. Mohd Faizul remarked that it also recorded a three-in-one achievement through the simultaneous submission of the Certificate of Practical Completion (CPC), as-built drawings, and SOFA documents. 'The project achieved 20 other performance milestones, including zero accidents and zero lost-time injuries throughout the construction period, as well as effective control of variation orders,' he added.

The new quarters are expected to provide modern, conducive, and safe accommodation for residents while creating a more comfortable and organized living environment at the campus. 'The facilities are also expected to support the well-being of residents and further strengthen the learning and technical training ecosystem at ADTEC Labuan,' Mohd Faizul concluded.
