RM31.06 Million Allocated for Infrastructure Projects in Johor Bahru

Johor bahru: The Johor state government has announced an allocation of RM31.06 million this year for the implementation of 77 infrastructure projects in the Johor Bahru district. These projects focus on repairs, upgrades, and improvements to public facilities.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, State Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Jafni Md Shukor revealed that ten projects have been prioritized for immediate approval. These projects focus on addressing disaster-related needs, social aspects, and safety concerns. His comments followed the Johor Bahru State Legislative Assembly Action Meeting (MTD), where he represented Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.

During the MTD meeting, 288 matters were discussed, 79 of which have been resolved, while 92 are currently being implemented. The meeting covered several state constituencies, including Larkin, Stulang, Kempas, Perling, Kota Iskandar, Skudai, Permas, Johor Jaya, Tiram, and Puteri Wangsa.

The projects aim to enhance physical infrastructure and deliver public benefits. Planned improvements include upgrades to drainage systems to mitigate flood risks, enhancements to roads and public amenities, and the development of community and educational facilities.

Mohd Jafni also mentioned that Onn Hafiz has directed all relevant agencies to expedite the approval and implementation processes for these projects to ensure timely completion.
