RTD Opens Bidding For ‘GM’ Special Vehicle Registration Numbers For Malaysia Day

Kuala lumpur: The Road Transport Department (RTD) has opened bidding for special registration numbers (NPI) with the 'GM' index in conjunction with Malaysia Day 2025. Its director-general, Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli, announced that the bidding will commence tomorrow (Tuesday) and continue until 10 pm on Saturday via the JPJeBid online vehicle registration number bidding system, with results to be declared on Sunday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the 'GM' NPI series symbolizes "Gemilang Malaysia," intended to boost patriotism and national pride during the National Month. The bidding prices are structured based on a minimum price, starting from RM20,000 for golden numbers, RM5,000 for premium numbers, RM2,500 for attractive numbers, RM500 for popular numbers, and RM300 for regular numbers.

Datuk Aedy Fadly emphasized that successful bids must be registered to a vehicle within 12 months from the date of the official bidding result letter. Additionally, successful bidders will receive two tickets to the 2026 Super GT Malaysia Festival, redeemable via the email address gmsupergtmalaysia.com.
