Jeli: The government continues to strengthen its efforts to improve the people's well-being through the handover of Rumah Kasih Ihsan to those in need in Jeli, Kelantan, ensuring they have access to safer and more comfortable housing.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim shared the success of the Kelantan Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) under the Prime Minister's Department (JPM) in handing over Rumah Kasih Ihsan to two recipients in the district through a Facebook post today.
The initiative was carried out by the PMX Coordination Team, with the homes officially handed over today by Kelantan ICU JPM director Dr Wan Nur Ibtisam Wan Ismail. For the first recipient, a letter of acceptance for the construction of a new house was presented to Yusof Mohamed Nawawi in Kampung Renyut, Jeli, to replace his existing home with a safer and more comfortable one. The second house, belonging to Shamsul Bahri Che Musa, has been completed and handed over to him. Both recipients also received food baskets as a gesture of the government's concern for their welfare.
According to the Kelantan ICU JPM, a safe and comfortable home is more than just a place to live; it provides the foundation for a more prosperous and dignified life. It said meaningful development should not be measured solely by physical progress, but by the extent to which its benefits are felt directly by the people. 'A safer home is more than just a place to live; it also builds hope, confidence and a more prosperous life,' it said.
