Oslo: Rystad Energy will officially launch Spektra, its artificial intelligence (AI)-native market intelligence platform, at its Innovate online event on August 20, marking the platform's move to full commercial availability. Spektra, which launched in beta in June, consolidates Rystad Energy's commercial databases into a single workspace, allowing users to combine data from multiple datasets without switching between different tools.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Rystad Energy Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Lars Eirik Nicolaisen, stated that energy markets are becoming more complex, and there is a growing demand for faster and reliable intelligence. He explained that Spektra is designed to provide flexible access to energy data while supporting the needs of both general and sophisticated users.
The platform offers web-based workspaces, Model Context Protocol (MCP) connectors, and an application programming interface (API) gateway. These features enable energy professionals to access and integrate Rystad Energy data across different workflows. Rystad Energy highlighted that Spektra draws on millions of energy assets globally, including over 85,000 oil and gas fields, more than two million wells, and over 200,000 conventional and renewable energy power plants, all independently sourced and verified.
At the Innovate event, Rystad Energy will showcase its AI ecosystem, including AskRystad, MCP, and its Microsoft 365 Copilot integration, alongside applications that enable its data to be accessed through existing industry tools. The company mentioned that clients who helped shape Spektra will also share their experiences with the platform. Furthermore, integrations with HSBC, SLB, Quorum, and FutureOn will demonstrate how Rystad Energy data can be incorporated into operational tools.
The Innovate event will be broadcast from Rystad Energy's Oslo studio and is open to clients and the market.
