Kota kinabalu: Three new mobile dental clinics will be handed over by the end of this year to benefit communities in Penampang, Kudat, and Keningau, said Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad. He stated that the initiative demonstrates the Ministry of Health's (KKM) commitment to improving access to dental healthcare for rural and interior communities in Sabah, while also enhancing modern dental facilities in urban areas.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Dzulkefly emphasized that these mobile clinics will enable preventive services and basic treatments to reach communities that face distance and logistical challenges. This approach is seen as essential to ensuring that oral health services are accessible and equitable for all residents across the state.

Dr Dzulkefly highlighted the integral role of oral health in overall well-being, stating, "Holistic health undoubtedly begins with good oral health." He further mentioned that KKM is dedicated to bringing health services closer to the people, ensuring that everyone, whether in urban or rural settings, receives fair, equitable, and high-quality healthcare.
