KOTA KINABALU: Sabah is poised to maintain its trajectory of peace, success, and prosperity under the guidance of Yang Dipertua Negeri Sabah, Tun Musa Aman, according to Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Hajiji described Musa as a unifying figure who embodies the sovereignty of the state and plays a crucial role in promoting unity and harmony among Sabah's diverse populace. Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the 11th Yang Dipertua Negeri Sabah held at Istana Seri Kinabalu, Hajiji highlighted the esteemed institution's role as a cornerstone of unity and a proud symbol of Sabah's sovereignty.
Tun Musa, accompanied by his wife, Toh Puan Faridah Tussin, officially took the oath of office at 10:22 a.m., following their arrival at the ceremonial hall at 10:11 a.m. Hajiji reaffirmed the state government's dedication to advancing Sabah's development and ensuring the prosperity and well-being of its citizens.
Hajiji noted that Sabah experienced a significant revenue boost last year, collecting nearly RM7 billion due to effective financial management. He attributed this achievement to the commitment and hard work of the state leadership and civil service. The government prioritizes the welfare of its people by implementing various programs, initiatives, and assistance, especially for the needy and hardcore poor.
These developments align with the objectives of the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) roadmap, which was launched nearly four years ago. The roadmap emphasizes the preservation of Sabah's natural resources, protection of cultural heritage and traditions, and maintenance of unity and harmony. Additionally, it prioritizes public safety to ensure the continued well-being of the people of Sabah.
