Sales Executive Killed En Route To RXZ Members 7.0 Event

Bera: A bank sales executive was killed early this morning, after the motorcycle he was riding skidded and hit a slope on the road shoulder along Jalan Palong 8, here. Bera police chief Supt Zulkiflee Nazir reported that the incident occurred at about 6.30 am. The victim, Mohd Syukri Shahrudin, 33, who was riding a Yamaha RXZ motorcycle, was traveling from Rembau, Negeri Sembilan, to Terengganu to attend the RXZ Members 7.0 event, scheduled for tomorrow.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, initial investigations revealed that upon arriving at the scene, the victim was supposed to turn right at the T-junction but instead went straight and collided with a slope on the road shoulder. As a result of the accident, he sustained severe injuries to his head and hands and was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is understood that the victim was on his way to join the RXZ Member 7.0 program, traveling with a convoy of about 60 other motorcycles, and he was among the earliest participants, at the front of the group. Zulkiflee stated that the victim's body had been taken to the Bera Hospital Forensic Unit for a post-mortem, and the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
