Kuala lumpur: National Moto3 rider Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli produced an impressive fightback to climb 13 places and finish 12th in the San Marino Grand Prix at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli today. Starting from 25th on the grid, the 19-year-old AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSI rider steadily worked his way through the field in the 20-lap race before crossing the line 22.335 seconds behind the winner.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, championship leader Maximo Quiles of CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team emerged victorious after a thrilling last-lap battle, clocking 33 minutes 42.713 seconds to edge pole-sitter David Almansa of Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP by just 0.021 seconds. Red Bull KTM Ajo's Brian Uriarte completed an all-Spanish podium in third, 1.343 seconds behind Quiles.

The 12th-place finish earned Muhammad Hakim four championship points, taking his tally to 94 points while keeping him eighth in the Moto3 World Championship standings after 14 rounds. Quiles strengthened his grip on the championship lead with the victory, increasing his tally from 256 to 281 points, while Almansa moved up to 174 points following his runner-up finish and Red Bull KTM Ajo's Angel Carpe remained third with 159 points.

The championship will next head to the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg from September 18-20.
