Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced the continuation of the RM100 assistance under the Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) programme, which will be credited to every Malaysian aged 18 and above on February 9. Anwar, who also serves as Finance Minister, stated that this financial aid is expected to benefit 2.2 million individuals, aiding them in preparation for Ramadan and the Chinese New Year celebrations.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar highlighted during his address at the Prime Minister's Department monthly assembly that the SARA assistance for hardcore poor recipients is scheduled to be credited on January 9. Additionally, the first phase of the Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) cash contribution, which amounts to up to RM500, will be distributed on January 20.
