Sarawak Day: A Celebration Of Pride, Unity, Heritage – Aaron

Miri: Sarawak Day, celebrated on July 22 every year, is not just an annual celebration, but a manifestation of the identity, spirit of struggle and pride of Sarawakians in the history, sovereignty and heritage of the state. National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang emphasized the importance of this day for all Sarawakians, highlighting the deep significance it holds in the hearts of the people.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Aaron, a Sarawak native and the Kanowit Member of Parliament, expressed his pride in Sarawak's role as a beacon of unity and harmony. He urged everyone, especially the younger generation, to uphold this spirit of unity. In a social media post, he conveyed his wishes for a happy Sarawak Day to all.

The Sarawak Day 2025 celebration, themed 'Sarawak Maju Makmur' (Progressive and Prosperous Sarawak), has been taking place in Miri. Since yesterday, the city has been abuzz with various activities, including sales and exhibition carnivals, Sarawak Talent showcases, thanksgiving ceremonies, and a Townhall session with the state's leadership. The celebrations will culminate with the Sarawak Day Assembly tomorrow night, serving as the highlight of the festivities.
