Sarawak KPWK Expands Outreach Programme To Cover Another 13 Zones

Sarawak: Sarawak's Ministry for Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development (KPWK) will expand its Outreach Programme to another 13 zones across the state this year. State Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah announced the expansion plans during the launch event held at Dewan Kompleks Islam Sarawak.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the two-day pilot phase in the central zone commenced yesterday, covering eight state constituencies. The event brought together 25 invited strategic partners under the theme 'Kamek Prihatin, Kitak Penting' (We Care, You Matter). This initiative aims to ensure the state government's plans, policies, and programmes effectively reach grassroots leaders, women's representatives, community heads, and residents in longhouses, settlements, and villages.

Fatimah highlighted that after the initial phase, the outreach programme will extend to 13 additional zones throughout Sarawak, ensuring no area is excluded. The programme will be adapted to meet local needs. She also noted that Sarawak offers unique initiatives not found in other states, focusing on economic growth and public wellbeing enhancements. Furthermore, increased state revenue has been allocated to various programmes, including those managed by the ministry, to benefit the populace.
