Bandar utama: A 14-year-old boy who stabbed his 16-year-old schoolmate to death at a secondary school in Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya, is believed to have had a secret infatuation with the victim, stated Selangor police chief, Datuk Shazeli Kahar.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the suspect was allegedly a 'secret admirer' of the victim. Both students were from the Remove Class, with the suspect in Form 1 and the victim in Form 3. Investigations suggest that the suspect had feelings for the victim but did not express them, and it is believed that the victim was unaware of the suspect's feelings.
Shazeli noted that there was no prior relationship or interaction between the suspect and the victim. Emotional factors and social media influence are believed to have contributed to the suspect's actions. When questioned about the suspect's mental health, Shazeli explained that they have not yet determined his mental state, but his emotional state was likely unstable during the incident.
A written note stating 'Dunia ni palsu. Saya sudah menang' (This world is fake. I have won) was discovered and confirmed by Shazeli. The note was seized from the suspect upon apprehension. The police have urged the public to refrain from sharing the note and images of the minors involved, as the case remains under active investigation.
The police are handling the incident with seriousness and have called on the school and community to collaborate in ensuring student safety and well-being.
