Raub: The search and rescue operation for an excavator driver believed to be buried in a rockfall at a quarry in Ulu Gali, Sungai Ruan, Raub, was suspended at 7 pm today. Pahang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) assistant director of operations and rescue, Mohd Salahuddin Isa, announced that the operation to locate Mohammad Fazrul Illahi Ab Rahman, 30, will continue at 8 am tomorrow. According to BERNAMA News Agency, rescuers have cleared approximately 15 metric tonnes of rocks, but the victim has yet to be found. Mohd Salahuddin Isa mentioned that two sniffer dogs from JBPM and the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) were deployed in the search efforts, with more than 60 personnel from JBPM, PDRM, and the Civil Defence Force participating in the operation. The incident occurred at 12.50 pm last Saturday when Mohammad Fazrul was operating an excavator and was struck by falling rocks from a nearby hillside. Fortunately, three other foreign workers involved in the incident escaped with minor injuries.
