Selangor: The Selangor Education Department (JPN) has implemented counselling and guidance interventions for students involved in a recent altercation at a secondary school in Seri Kembangan. The incident, which involved a student and his father, gained widespread attention after going viral.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Selangor JPN expressed its full cooperation with the ongoing investigation and emphasized its zero-tolerance policy towards misconduct, especially those related to violence. The department stated, "Selangor JPN views seriously the fight involving a group of students as reported by the media and circulated online recently. The incident is currently under police investigation. The department is extending its full cooperation to the ongoing investigation. Firm action will be taken against any party found guilty."

In addition, the department urged the public to refrain from speculation or spreading unverified information. They also reminded that disclosing the identities of minors involved in such cases is a legal offence.

Earlier reports indicated that Serdang district police chief ACP Muhamad Farid Ahmad mentioned the detention of several individuals to aid investigations. The altercation resulted in injuries to a 16-year-old male student and his father, who were assaulted in front of the school on July 3.
