Selangor State Government Stands Firm Against LGBT Culture Promotion

Selangor: The Selangor State Government has urged the authorities to investigate the organisation of the Glamping with Pride programme, which is scheduled to be held next week. State Youth, Sports and Entrepreneurship Committee chairman Mohd Najwan Halimi stated that the state government would not compromise on any attempts to spread or promote lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) culture in the state.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohd Najwan emphasised that the state government stands firm in its stance against any efforts to spread and promote what he referred to as deviant culture and values that are contrary to societal norms. He noted that he has already reached out to the police to request an investigation and appropriate action regarding the event.

The Glamping with Pride programme has faced objections from various parties, yet the organising group has decided to proceed with the event. Mohd Najwan's statement highlights the government's commitment to addressing concerns related to the programme and ensuring that societal norms are upheld in Selangor.
