Selangor Sultan Attends Yasin Recital for Warriors’ Day Celebration

Selangor: The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, today attended the 'yasin' recital, 'doa selamat' prayers, and 'tahlil' at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque here, in conjunction with the state-level Warriors Day celebration.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the event was led by Selangor Deputy Mufti Datuk Dr Miszairi Sitiris and was also attended by several notable figures. These included Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, Islamic Affairs and Innovation Committee chairman Dr Mohammad Fahmi Ngah, Youth, Sports and Entrepreneurship Committee chairman Mohd Najwan Halimi, and Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) director Datuk Mohd Shahzihan Ahmad.

Approximately 1,100 officers and personnel from the security forces and uniformed agencies serving in Selangor were present at the event. Following the initial ceremonies, the congregation participated in the Friday prayers led by Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque Grand Imam Datuk Muhammad Farhan Wijaya, who delivered a sermon titled 'Hakikat Kepahlawanan Islam'.

Warriors' Day is celebrated annually on July 31 to honor the struggles and sacrifices of the national security forces who work to protect the country's sovereignty.
