Selangor: The Selangor government has pledged not to reduce the organisation of Ehsan Rahmah Sales (JER) following the announcement of an additional allocation of RM300 million to expand the MADANI Rahmah Sales programme initiative. Infrastructure and Agriculture Exco Datuk Izham Hashim stated that the organisation of the initiative would be coordinated to ensure that the JER, which offers basic goods at low prices, can be enjoyed by all people in Selangor.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Izham Hashim emphasized that efforts will not be diminished as there is a recognition of the benefits that both federal and state government programmes bring to the community. "We will look at their implementation (MADANI Rahmah Sales) and we will coordinate, we will not reduce our efforts because we know that more people will benefit from either the federal or state government programmes," he said. This statement was made after the Ehsan Brand Frozen Product Launch Ceremony held today.
Yesterday, Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali announced that the ministry is targeting the implementation of 20,000 sales programmes nationwide. These programmes will cover 222 parliamentary constituencies, over 600 state constituencies, and 40 zones in the Federal Territories.
Armizan highlighted that the three main elements of improvement for the MADANI Rahmah Sales include increasing the frequency of sales in all parliamentary and state constituencies, enhancing the variety of basic necessities according to local needs and festive seasons, and expanding the involvement of strategic partners.
