Shah alam: The Selangor Zakat Carnival 2025 is set to take place from November 27 to 29 at Dewan Raja Muda Musa, Section 7, offering a range of activities from 9 am to 9 pm each day. The Selangor Zakat Board (LZS), the organizer of the event, aims to utilize the three-day carnival to promote the significance of zakat (tithe) and foster community connections in an engaging and inclusive atmosphere.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, more than 150 exhibitors, including government agencies, private companies, industry players, and local entrepreneurs, will participate in the carnival. They will provide attendees with access to various information, services, and initiatives. A key feature of the event will be the i-Kerjaya Carnival, which presents over 1,500 employment opportunities from 20 employers in sectors such as services, manufacturing, trading, automotive, and food and beverage. This job initiative prioritizes the poor, needy, and registered asnaf, supporting them in securing stable and appropriate career paths.
The carnival will also feature a multitude of activities designed for community engagement, including community sports, a Zakat Run, and E-Sports and VR Spot zones. Attendees can explore the Rahmah Sale, partake in a Food Festival, and participate in daily lucky draws. Families will find additional attractions such as the Perdana Forum, appearances by beloved mascots Omar and Hana, a Recycle Corner, and a coloring competition.
LZS highlights that visitors who register at the event will receive special souvenirs and have a chance to win three motorcycles as part of the LZS Year-End Campaign. For the convenience of the public, asnaf census counters, assistance inquiries, assessment services, and zakat payment facilities will be available throughout the carnival. For further details, the public is encouraged to follow LZS's official social media platforms on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
