Selgate Specialist Hospital Rawang Nears Completion, Operations to Begin Soon

Rawang: The construction of the Selgate Specialist Hospital Rawang (SSH Rawang) is in its final stages and is expected to begin operations soon. Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari announced that the facility, with a capacity of 224 beds, will become a significant addition to specialist healthcare services in northern Selangor.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Amirudin expressed satisfaction over the project's progress, which is nearing completion. "Alhamdulillah, I am pleased to see the positive progress of this project, which is now in its final phase of construction. The final inspection by the Ministry of Health is scheduled for July 31 and, insya-Allah, the hospital will begin operations soon," he shared in a Facebook post.

Amirudin also mentioned having the opportunity to observe the construction progress of the hospital. The hospital is the first development project under the Selgate Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS).

He highlighted that SSH Rawang will feature various medical specialities and advanced diagnostic facilities. This initiative underscores the collaboration between the state government and the private sector in enhancing access to quality healthcare for the community.

Amirudin further emphasized that this initiative aligns with Selangor's vision to provide specialist healthcare services closer to residents and position the state as a leading health hub in Malaysia. The hospital's groundbreaking ceremony took place in August 2018.
