Miri: A 63-year-old man died after the bicycle he was riding was believed to have been hit by a vehicle on Jalan Tanjung Lipat, Batu Niah, yesterday evening. Miri police chief ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah stated that the incident occurred at 5.30 pm as the victim was cycling from Pasar Batu Niah towards Kampung Tanjung Lipat.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the police chief mentioned that the victim was believed to have been struck by an oncoming vehicle. The victim succumbed to severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The case is currently under investigation and is being handled under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
