Sept 15 Is Additional Public Holiday In Celebration Of Malaysia Day 2025 – PM Anwar

Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today announced that Monday, Sept 15, will be designated as an additional public holiday in conjunction with this year's Malaysia Day celebration. He said the public holiday is intended to honour national unity and the significance of Malaysia's formation.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar expressed hope that this holiday will strengthen unity and serve as a reminder of the contributions of the founding fathers who were instrumental in the formation of Malaysia. His announcement was made in a special message to Malaysians, broadcast live on national television and social media platforms today.

The Malaysia Day celebration on Sept 16 is planned to take place at the PICCAArena Convention Centre in Butterworth, Penang.
