Puchong: Two men sustained severe injuries after being hacked by 11 masked intruders who broke into their home at Jalan Bunga Melur, Batu 14 in Puchong, at midnight on Saturday. Subang Jaya deputy police chief, Supt Mohd Fairus Jaafar, revealed in a statement that the incident occurred when the assailants stormed the residence, leading to a brutal attack on the occupants.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, six suspects aged between 23 and 28 were apprehended at 8 pm yesterday. Authorities seized a machete from the group, linking them to the violent crime. Supt Mohd Fairus stated that the suspects have been remanded for three days, with investigations underway under Sections 394/326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt during a robbery and inflicting injury using a weapon.
The police chief disclosed that the arrested individuals have prior records related to criminal and drug offenses. During the assault, the masked gang arrived in three cars, easily accessing the house through an unlocked gate and door. Once inside, they repeatedly attacked the victims, aged 31 and 38, in the living room before making their escape.
Both victims, who suffered extensive injuries to their body, legs, arms, and other areas, were promptly transported to the Sultan Idris Shah Hospital in Serdang. Medical officials report that they are now in stable condition following emergency treatment.
