Rantau: Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil (SJKT) Rantau has been acknowledged by the Malaysia Book of Records (MBR) for installing the highest number of smart interactive boards in a Tamil school.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, a total of 14 units of 75-inch smart interactive panels have been installed across all classrooms to boost digital education for 300 pupils, including preschoolers. The project was facilitated by Linsun Engineering Sdn Bhd's managing director Datuk M. Natarajen and operations director Datuk M. Satishkumar.
Former senator Datuk T. Mohan emphasized that this initiative is a transformative step to elevate the school's educational standards beyond just an addition of facilities. He expressed gratitude towards Natarajen and Satishkumar, who are former students of the school, for their contributions and highlighted their career success as an inspiring example for current students.
Present at the recognition event were MBR representative Edwin Yeoh Tiong Chin, SJKT Rantau headmistress Mageswary Kesavan, members of the Parent-Teacher Association, and the school's pupils.
Headmistress Mageswary Kesavan stated that the contribution will act as a catalyst to strengthen technology-based learning at the school, leading to future excellence. She noted that the comprehensive facilities will add value to the teaching and learning processes.
She further mentioned that the teachers at SJKT Rantau are adept at using digital technology, allowing learning sessions to be more interactive and systematic. The initiative aligns with the Ministry of Education's plan to introduce the 'Alam dan Manusia' (Nature and Humanity) subject based on digital elements starting in 2027, fostering a digitally literate and competent student generation.
