Slight Drop In Number Of Flood Victims In Sabah

Kota kinabalu: The number of flood victims in Sabah dropped to 5,017 people placed at 32 temporary relief centres (PPS) across three affected districts - Pitas, Paitan, and Tawau - tonight. The Sabah State Disaster Management Secretariat stated that this figure showed a slight decrease compared with 5,036 people recorded this afternoon.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the number of flood victims in Pitas declined slightly to 2,701 tonight compared with 2,720 this afternoon. Meanwhile, the number of victims in Paitan remained at 2,071, and in Tawau, it also remained unchanged at 245 people still sheltering at relief centres in the two districts.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department has forecast thunderstorms in several interior areas of Sabah in the morning, afternoon, and tonight.
