Stiff Action Taken Against Those Involved In Assaulting School Student In Kajang – Fadhlina

Kajang: The Ministry of Education (MOE) will not compromise on any misconduct involving the school community, including the recent incident of a student being beaten at a school in Kajang, Selangor. Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek stated in a Facebook post that swift action has been undertaken following the altercation, which arose from a misunderstanding among the students involved.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, four students have been detained by the police to assist in the investigation. Fadhlina emphasized that the MOE will take firm action based on the results of the police inquiry. Additionally, she has directed the school and the District Education Office (PPD) to introduce intervention programs aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of the school community.

Earlier, police apprehended four 13-year-old male students to aid in the investigation of the incident, which took place at a shopping mall in Kajang. Kajang District Police Chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof reported that they received a report from the victim, a Form One student at a local secondary school, at 12:57 pm yesterday.

The incident gained attention after a video went viral, showing the victim being assaulted by two students while their two companions recorded the event on their mobile phones.
