The ministry of health has assured that the country's medical device supply remains stable and under control through close monitoring and continuous mitigation measures despite the global energy crisis: The Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced a strategic partnership with Chinese authorities aimed at bolstering the supply of critical raw materials for Malaysia's medical device industry.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, this alliance involves the Medical Device Authority (MDA) and Chinese counterparts working together to enhance the availability of essential materials such as resin and naphtha. These materials are vital for the production of medical devices, and their increased supply is intended to stabilize the supply chain and maintain the continuity of production within Malaysia.
The Ministry stated that the additional supply from China will act as a crucial catalyst in addressing current shortages and meeting the demands of the national healthcare system. The ministry expressed gratitude to the Chinese government for its robust commitment to supporting the stability of the regional medical device raw material supply chain.
Furthermore, MOH emphasized its dedication to closely monitoring the situation, ensuring that distribution is executed efficiently and prudently based on clinical needs to safeguard the well-being of the Malaysian populace.
