Kuala lumpur: The Suarasa Putera Raja: Inspirasi Kepimpinan Generasi MADANI programme held today aims to deepen youth understanding of constitutional monarchy and foster value-based leadership in Malaysia. Organised by the Akademi Kenegaraan Malaysia (AKM) under the Prime Minister's Department, the initiative also seeks to promote national unity and position youth as agents of cohesion in a diverse society.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the programme serves as a platform to instil patriotic spirit and reinforce national identity among young Malaysians. The event, held at the Banquet Hall of Parliament, was graced by Negeri Sembilan prince Tunku Zain Al-'Abidin Tuanku Muhriz. Also in attendance were Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul and Director-General of AKM, Datuk Dr Roslan Hussin.

Key components of the programme included a National Forum themed Jati Diri Nasional: Inspirasi Kepimpinan Global (National Identity: Inspiration for Global Leadership) and a knowledge-sharing session on Nation-Building Through Parliamentary Democracy. The programme gathered 400 youth leaders from public and private universities, teacher training institutes, youth organisations, and student leaders from arts schools, sports schools, public and private secondary schools.

Participants were also taken on a guided tour of Parliament to gain firsthand insights into Malaysia's parliamentary democracy and the workings of the national administration. 'The Malaysian Nationhood Academy remains committed to organising impactful programmes that cultivate a strong sense of patriotism, particularly among the youth,' the statement read.

The initiative aligns with the MADANI government's broader aspirations to empower the younger generation through civic education and inclusive leadership development rooted in national values.
