Sultan Of Kedah Celebrates 84th Birthday With Grand Parade

Alor setar: The Sultan of Kedah, Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah, attended a guard of honour parade held in conjunction with His Royal Highness' 84th birthday at Dataran Medan Bandar here today. The celebration was marked by the presence of various dignitaries and a series of ceremonial activities, underscoring the significance of the occasion.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the parade was graced by notable figures such as the Raja Muda of Kedah, Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah Sultan Sallehuddin, Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, and State Secretary Datuk Seri Norizan Khazali, along with members of the State Executive Council. The event featured the participation of 103 members and three officers from the 6th Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment (RAMD), under the leadership of Major Muhammad Nasrullah Abdullah.

Lieutenant Mohamad Aiman Hanif Samsudin served as the colour bearer, while Warrant Officer 1 Mohd Fairuz Ramli held the position of regiment standard bearer. The main guard of honour was accompanied by the RAMD Central Band, directed by Captain Muhamad Fauzee Japar, with Sergeant Mohd Shahrilaizad Bakhtiar providing assistance.

The celebration also included a ceremonial flypast, showcasing two EC120B aircraft from the Flying Training Institute (INSPEN) 2 and three PC-7 MK II aircraft from INSPEN 1, adding a visual spectacle to the event. The guard of honour was further complemented by a 21-gun salute, executed by the 41st Battery of the Royal Artillery Regiment (Ceremonial), under the command of Major Hafizan Md Ghani from the 41st Battery, Royal Artillery Regiment (Ceremonial), based at Sungai Buloh Camp, Selangor.
