Suria KLCC Celebrates Year Of The Horse With Cultural Festivities

Kuala lumpur: Suria KLCC invites all Malaysians to join in celebrating the Year of the Horse from January 16 to February 18 through a festival that blends tradition, culture, and meaningful festive experiences. Francis Tan, Executive Director and CEO of Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd, highlighted the unique offerings of the event.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Suria KLCC Centre Court has been transformed into an immersive festive showcase featuring an Oriental House Carousel as the centerpiece, symbolizing the Year of the Horse. The installation is set against a backdrop of mountains and cherry blossom trees. Visitors can interact with elements such as the 'Lotus Pond of Blessings' and a traditional Chinese pavilion, which serves as a backdrop for festive photography.

Francis Tan stated that Suria KLCC is not just a shopping mall but a place where memories are created. He emphasized that the Chinese New Year celebration aims to honor the energy and spirit of the Year of the Horse while uniting the community through shared heritage. Additionally, Suria KLCC continues its commitment to community well-being through a CSR initiative focused on mental health awareness.

The event offers a rewards program for shoppers, with those spending RM2,500 and above in two receipts receiving a RM100 Suria KLCC Shopping e-voucher and angpau packets. An online bonus of an additional RM100 e-voucher is available for purchases of RM1,000 made through the website. Festive activities include Acrobatic Lion Dance performances, Sugar Art workshops, Calligraphy Stamp workshops, and photobooth facilities.

In Putrajaya, the Alamanda Shopping Centre will feature an Oriental garden concept from January 23 to February 18, complete with a Horse Carousel, Chinese pavilion, red lanterns, and cherry blossoms. Highlights include Lion dances, traditional Chinese dance performances, ViKids children's activities, and e-voucher rewards.

Meanwhile, at the Mesra Mall in Kemasik, Terengganu, the East Coast celebration runs from January 29 to February 18. Shoppers are encouraged to support the mental health initiative by purchasing Green Ribbon Pins. The celebration will focus on family elements and tradition with traditional lion dance performances, walkabouts, family craft workshops, and special rewards for early-bird shoppers.
