Taxation Among Proposed MSME-Related Policies To Be Brought To Cabinet Meeting – Steven Sim

Kuala lumpur: Taxation aspects, bureaucracy reduction and improvement to capital access are among the proposed policies that will be brought to this Monday's Cabinet meeting for consideration. Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong said the suggestions, which are to assist micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME), have been submitted to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in a meeting today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the suggestions require cross-ministry cooperation and will be brought to the Cabinet meeting this Monday. Sim expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Anwar for the trust placed in these initiatives, indicating a collaborative effort to enhance the business environment in Malaysia.

Sim shared the development on social media, stating, "Thank you PMX for the trust. We will enhance Malaysia's businesses!" This move is seen as a strategic effort to bolster the MSME sector, which plays a significant role in the country's economy. The policies are expected to address crucial areas that impact the growth and sustainability of MSMEs, ensuring that they receive the necessary support to thrive in the competitive market.
