TCS Gets Approval to Continue J. Satine Project Construction

Kuala Lumpur: TCS Group Holdings Bhd's (TCS) wholly owned subsidiary, TCS Construction Sdn Bhd, has received approval from Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) to resume construction activities for the J. Satine mixed development project in Wangsa Maju.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the construction group announced in a filing with Bursa Malaysia that DBKL has approved the recommencement of work on Phase 3 (SOHO Block) and Phase 2 (Blocks A and B) of the project. This decision follows a thorough review and acceptance of the independent check consultant report.

The construction on Phase 1 (Blocks C and D) will move forward once the necessary foundation strengthening is fully completed and verified by other parties. TCS director Datuk Tee Chai Seng expressed satisfaction with DBKL's decision, which acknowledges the positive findings regarding the safety and stability aspects outlined in the independent report.

He stated that the approval allows TCS to progress with the construction of the project, emphasizing the group's commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and integrity. TCS plans to continue working closely with all stakeholders and adhere to the conditions set by DBKL.

Previously, a stop-work order was issued by DBKL on November 9, 2024, due to reports of an explosion on the project site.
