Nilai: A female technician was killed in a four-vehicle collision on Jalan Persiaran Nilai, near here, at 7.25 am today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Nilai police chief Supt Abdul Malik Hasim stated that initial investigations revealed the accident occurred when a Volvo lorry, driven by a 34-year-old man from Puchong, Selangor, lost control and skidded. The lorry subsequently crashed into the rear of a Proton Saga car driven by the 23-year-old victim.

The impact of the collision caused the Proton Saga to ram into the rear of a Proton Waja car, which was driven by a 59-year-old man. This sequence of events then led the Proton Waja to hit a Nissan lorry positioned in front of it.

The female driver of the Proton Saga suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Proton Waja sustained minor injuries and was taken to Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital in Seremban for treatment. Meanwhile, both lorry drivers escaped unhurt. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
