Penang: A 13-year-old girl died after she is believed to have fallen from the 16th-floor unit of a condominium in Tanjung Tokong yesterday. Timur Laut District Police chief ACP Abdul Rozak Muhammad said police received a report from the public at 6.45 pm.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, preliminary investigations found the victim had allegedly fallen from her residence on the 16th floor and was discovered unconscious on the eighth floor of the building. 'She was pronounced dead at the scene. An examination of the body found no elements of foul play,' he said in a statement.

The body has been sent to the Forensic Medicine Department at Penang Hospital for a post-mortem. The case has been classified as a sudden death, and a police report has been opened to complete investigations.
